The IPCC projects that between 1.6 to 3.8 trillion USD of low-carbon investments are required annually until 2050. The Climate Policy Initiative estimates that the 2020 Climate Finance flows were 632 billion USD.


Since 0.06% of finance research is related to Climate Finance, there is limited academic and educational content for investors, students, academicians, and policymakers to increase climate-related investments urgently.

About the Climate Finance Podcast

Podcast Host

Jonas Tobiassen is from Mauritius (Africa) and Norway. He studied Economics in the United States, Mandarin Chinese in Beijing, and Industrial Ecology in The Netherlands. His master’s thesis was one of the first academic research attempts on Climate Tech Venture Capital, as past literature was focused on the Cleantech era. Jonas is a multi-lingual soccer fanatic who grew up in the United Arab Emirates.
